BROWN, FLAMMIA, KANNALEY KEY MIDDLESEX WIN OVER MONTGOMERY

Jordan Brown delivered a two-out game-tying RBI single in the eighth inning and Matthew Flammia followed with a go-ahead RBI double tp spur Middlesex College to a come-from-behind win over Montgomery CC, 4-3.

Patrick Kannaley (Sophomore/Middlesex, NJ) delivered a clutch performance in relief of starter Isaiah Figueroa (Freshman/Old Bridge, NJ), hurling three innings while allowing just one hit and one run.

Middlesex (21-11) jumped out to a two-run lead in the fourth when Brown and Flammia each singled to lead off the inning. After executing a double steal, Kiefer Goss (Freshman/Hamilton, NJ) drove home Brown with a ground out and Vincent Powers (Freshman/Colonia, NJ) scored Flammia with a single.

Montgomery (3-3) tied the game in the sixth on a two-run homer and took the lead in the seventh.

The Colts would not be down for long however as Braden Ramirez (Freshman/Middlesex, NJ) singled and stole second with one out, setting the stage for Brown and Flammia's heroics.

Kannaley picked up the win in relief, his third of the season. The righty struck out five in his three-inning stint. Figueroa was solid through the first six innings, allowing just four hits and two earned runs while striking out seven.

The Colts made the most of their six hits. Brown and Flammia each had two hits on the day.
