MIDDLESEX COLLEGE TOPS ATLANTIC CAPE 71-52 IN HOME OPENER
Kendall Dixon and Daziya Hudson scored 15 points each and Middlesex College used a smothering defense as the Colts topped Atlantic Cape CC 71-52 in their 2025-26 home opener.
Alyssa Rice (Sophomore/Piscataway, NJ) added 13 points off the bench as well for Middlesex.
Middlesex moved to 2-1 in the early season with the win.
Playing the first regular season game on their newly replaced gym floor, the Colts jumped out to a 17-7 lead after one quarter. The Buccaneers bounced back with their best offensive quarter in the second, scoring 17 points, but Middlesex carried a 36-24 lead into halftime.
Middlesex stayed consistent in the second half, outscoring Atlantic Cape 35-28 in the second half to secure the 19 point win.
The Colts once again played solid team defense as six different players had multiple steals in the game. Jaylah Boyd (Freshman/Linden, NJ) grabbed 10 defensive rebounds and 14 total rebounds in the win.
Gabriella Nieves (Sophomore/East Brunswick, NJ) paced Middlesex with five assists.
The Colts return to action on Tuesday when they host Manor College. Tipoff is set for 8:00PM.
