DIXON NETS 32 IN 92-43 WIN OVER SUNY ORANGE

Kendall Dixon scored a season-high 32 points and Jay;ah Boyd notched a double-double Middlesex College topped visiting SUNY Orange 92-43.

The game marked a return home for the Colts, who had been on the road for six weeks as a renovation was being completed in their home gym.

Middlesex (6-13) jumped out to a commanding lead, outscoring SUNY Orange 32-11 in the first quarter and carried a 45-22 lead into the half after a low-scoring second quarter.

The Colts outscored SUNY Orange 47-21 in the second half on their way to a 49-point win.

Dixon's big game was the highest scoring game for any Colt this season and came on 11-23 shooting. She went 5-13 on three-pointers and hit five free throws. Dixon added eight rebounds and had two steals and two assists as well.

Boyd's double-double was highlighted by 19 rebounds, 11 of which came on the offensive end. Her 9.1 rebounds per game place her in the top 60 nationally on the NJCAA Division II level. She had 19 points to go along with her high rebound total.

Middlesex also got a big game from Genilah Singleton, who scored 20 points in the win. It was her third 20-point game this season.

The Colts return to action on January 15 when they travel to Morris County College. Tipoff is set for 5:00PM.
