PAGAN, HAWKINS NAMED FIRST TEAM ALL-REGION XIX

Middlesex Colts standouts Destiny Pagan and Akylah Hawkins were voted First Team All-Region XIX and Kimberlie Suffrant was named Second Team All-Region in a vote done by the region's Head Coaches.

Pagan is a repeat selection on the Region XIX First Team after being named last season as a freshman.

Along with Head Coach Adrienne Giordano, the trio led Middlesex College Women's Soccer to a tremendous resurgence this season.

After not fielding a team in 2019 or 2020 and winning just two games last season, the Colts qualified for the NJCAA Division III Region XIX playoffs this season and finished with a record of 5-7-1.

Pagan (Sophomore/Woodbridge, NJ) scored two goals this season while filling a number of key roles for the Colts in the midfield and on defense.

Hawkins (Freshman/North Brunswick, NJ) scored three goals and tied for the team lead with three assists. Her biggest goal of the season came against SUNY Ulster when she found the back of the net with less than 10 minutes left to give the Colts a 2-2 tie with the Senators.

Suffrant (Sophomore/Irvington, NJ) scored 12 goals this season, a total that was good for fourth-most in the region. Suffrant had three two-goal games and at one point, scored in five straight games.
